This course is a broad graduate-level introduction to conducing Human-Computer Interaction research. This course presents a balance of foundational and emerging HCI literature and techniques from which students will draw inspiration and expert research knowledge. Students will learn to review and critique research papers and gain experiential knowledge in how to initiate, conduct, and writeup a research project suitable for submission and peer review at an HCI conference. Each class meeting will focus on an important HCI theme and topic.
